Wendy Allen Award

Each year, The Lincoln Forum presents at its annual symposium a special award to a Lincoln or Civil War institution or organization that has achieved widespread recognition for bringing learning, scholarship, and enlightenment to a wide public.  The award comes in the form of a framed color print of an original Lincoln painting by acclaimed Gettysburg-based artist Wendy Allen, who generously makes her work available for the honorees.

Past winners include The Ulysses S. Grant Presidential Library in Starkville, Mississippi, The Lincoln Shrine in Redlands, California, New York's Gilder Lehrman Institute of American History, The Lincoln Museum in Lincoln, Illinois and most recently, the Gettysburg Foundation in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania.

Applicants are invited to send a summary of their recent achievements—attendance—programs—and innovative outreach.
